THE HONGKONG GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, 31ST DECEMBER, 1864.

POST OFFICE NOTIFICATION.

It is hereby notified for general information that commencing with the mails dispatched from the United Kingdom by way of Southampton on the 20th March, and by way of Marseilles on the 27th March next, which are due in Hongkong on the 15th May, the system of delivering letters from or through the United Kingdom, addressed to Shanghae, to the Agents of the persons to whom such letters are directed at this place, will be discontinued, and from and after the arrival of the before mentioned mails all such correspondence will be forwarded to Shanghae direct from this Department.
