WHEREAS an action has been commenced

in this Court at the suit of the above named William Pastuu and William Probst against the above named Charles Brodersen to recover the sum of Twelve Thousand DollarS for Money lent by the said Plaintiffs to the said Defendant at his request and for interest for the forbearance by the Plaintiffs to the Defendant. at interest of mouies owing from the Defendant to the Plaintiff's and for money fand to be due on accounts stated between the suit Plaintiffs and the said Defendant, And it being alleged that the said Charles Brodersen does not reside within this Island or its Dependencies a Writ of Foreign Attachment has been issued returnable on the

Ninth day of January 1865, wherein Wynandus Gysbertus Van Reesema is Garnishee :

Notice is hereby given thereof and that if at any time before final judgment in this action, the said Charles Brodersen or any person on his behalf will give the security and notice and file the ap- pearance or plea required by the Ordinance of this Island intituled "An Ordinance to provide for and regulate Process in actions at Law against persons absent from the Colony," the said At- tachment may be dissolved.

Edward Schellhass and Ludwig Beyer so trading as aforesaid against the above named Gustav Kunst and Edward Röhl so trading as aforesaid, to recover the sum of Twenty-five Thousand. Dollars for money lent to the said Defendants by the said Plaintiffs and for money paid by the said Plaintiffs for the said Defendants at their request, | and for interest upon and for the forbearance at interest by the Plaintiffs to the Defendants of money owing by the Defendants to the Plaintifs at the Defendants request and for commission and reward due from the Defendants to the Plaintiffs for work and labour done by the said Plaintiffs as the agents of the said Defendants at their request, and for money found to be due from the Defendants to the Plaintiffs on account stated between then. And it being alleged that the said Gustav Kunst and Edward Rohl do not reside within this Island or its Dependencies a Writ of Foreign Attachment has been issued re- turnable on the Twenty-sixth Day of December, 1864, wherein Joseph J. Ray is Garnishee.

Notice is hereby given thereof and that if at any time before final judgment in this action the said Gustav Kunst and Edward Röhl or any person on their behalt will give the security and notice and file the appearance or plea required by the Ordinance of this Island intituled "An Ordinance to provide for and regulate process in actions at Law against persons absent from the Colony" the said Attachment may be dissolved.

HEREAS au netion has been commenced in this Court at the suit of the above named Chong Lai Thong so trading as aforesaid against the above named Chan Hu Low to recover the sum of Tico thousand and forty-one Dollars and twenty-three Cents for money lent to the said Defendant by the said Plaintiff and for money paid by the said Plaintiff for the said Defendant at his request and for Interest upon and for the forbearance at Interest by the said Plaintiff to the said Defendant of money owing by the said Defendant to the said Plaintiff at the said De- fondant's request and for money found to be due from the said Defendant to the said Plaintiff on account stated between them. And it being alleged that the said Chan Hu Low does not reside within this Island or its Dependencies a Writ of Foreign Attachment has been issued returnable on the Seventh day of January, 1865, wherein Poon Ah Gog is Garnishee.

ON Monday, the 26th December, at Noon,

the Company's Steam-ship LABOUR- DONNAIS, Com. PELLISSOT, H.I.M.N., with Her Britannic Majesty's Mails, Passengers,Specie, and Cargo, will leave this Port for the above places.

NOTICE. The Mail, Passengers, and Cargo per Labourdonnais, will be transferred to the steamer Cambodge at Galle.

Passengers going to London are informed that the Company will convey, free of charge, from Marseilles to London, their Baggage to the extent allowed by the regulation.

Cargo and Specic will be registered for London as well as for Marseilles, and accepted in transit through Marseilles for the principal places of Europe.

The Company has authority to grant Insurance on all Cargo conveyed by its Vessels, at a pre- mium of 13 per cent upon Merchandize, and 3 per cent on Treasure, from Hongkong to Lyon, Paris, London, and Holland, and proportionally for places this side of Suez.

Cargo will be received on board until 4 P.M., on the 23rd December; Specie and Parcels until 5 o'clock P.M. on the 24th.

A Written Declaration of the Contents and Value of the Packages destined beyond Suez is required by the Egyptian Government, and must be furnished by the Shippers to the Agent with the Bills of Lading; and the Company will not be responsible for any consequence or prejudice which may ...e from au incorrect declaration. Contents and Value of Packages

are required.

** A written declaration of the Contents and Value of the Packages for the Overland Route is required by the Egyptian Government, and must be delivered by the Shippers to the Com- pany's Agents with the Bills of Lading, or with Parcels; and the Company do not hold them- selves responsible for any Detention or Preju- dice which may happen from incorrectness on such declaration. Shippers of Cargo on the Company's Black Bills of Lading are particu- larly requested to note the Terms and Condition of these Bills of Lading, with reference to the Transhipment and forwarding of Cargo, with a view to the adequateness of their Insurance Policies in respect of the same.
