NOTICE.

THE next CRIMINAL SESSIONS of the Su- preme Court, will be held on Monday, the Nineteenth day of December, A.D. 1864, at Ten o'clock in the forenoon.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF HONGKONG.

Between

EDWARD SCHELLHASs and Lun- WIG BEYER, trading under and using the name, style or firm of EDWARD SCHELLHASS & Co., Plaintiffs,

and

GUSTAV KUNST and EDWARD Rou, trading under and using the name, style or firm of KUNST ROHL & Co., Defendants.

WHEREAS an action has been commenced in

this Court at the suit of the above named Edward Schellhass and Ludwig Beyer so trading as aforesaid against the above named Gustav Kunst and Edward Röhl so trading as aforesaid, to recover the sum of Twenty-five Thousand Dollars for money leut to the said Defendants by the said Plaintiffs and for money paid by the said Plaintiffs for the said Defendants at their request, and for interest upon and for the forbearance at interest by the Plaintiffs to the Defendants of money owing by the Defendants to the Plaintiff's at the Defendants request and for commission and reward due from the Defendants to che Plaintiffs for work and labour done by the said Plaintiffs as the agents of the said Defendants at their request, and for money found to be due from the Defendants to the Plaintiffs on account stated between them. And it being alleged that the said Gustav Kunst and Edward Röhl do not reside within this Island or its Dependencies a Writ of Foreigu Attachment has been issued re- turnable on the Twenty-sixth Day of December, 1864, wherein Joseph J. Ray is Garnishee.

Notice is hereby given thereof and that if at any time before final judgment in this action the said Gustav Kunst and Edward Rühl or any person on their behalf will give the security and

notice and file the appearance or plea required by the Ordinance of this Island intituled “An Ordinance to provide for and regulate process in actions at Law against persons absent from the Colony" the said Attachment may be dissolved.

THOMAS CUSHING LADD, Defendant. HEREAS an action has been commenced in this Court at the snit of the above named Li Atoong against the above named Thomas Cushing Ladd to recover the Sum of One Thousand and "Thirty-eight Dollers and forty Cents for money alleged to be due by the De- fendant to the Plaintiff for Goods sold and deli- vered by the Plaintiff to the Defendant and for work and labour done by the Plaintiff for the Defendant at his request and for money paid by the Plaintiff for the Defendant at his request and for money found to be due from the Defendant to the Plaintiff on accounts stated between them. And it being alleged that the said Thomas Cushing Ladd does not reside within this Island or its Dependencies a Writ of Foreign Attachment has been issued returnable on the Nineteenth day of December instant, wherein Waldemer Nissen of Hongkong, Merchant, the resident partner of Messrs. Siemssen and Company is Garnisher,

Notice is hereby given thereof and that if at any time before final judgment in this action the said Thomas Cushing Ladd or any person on his behalf will give the security and notice and file the appearance or plea required by the Ordinance of this Island intituled “An Ordinance to provide for and regulate process ni actions at Law against persons absent from this Colony," the said At- tachment may be dissolved.

(CHONG LAI THONG, trading under the Shop name of SHEE HANG TONG,Plaintiff,

CHAN HU Low, Defendunt.

"HEREAS an action has been commenced in this Court at the suit of the above named Chong Lai Thong so trading as aforesaid against the above named Clan Hu Low to recover the sum of Two thousand and forty-one Dollars and twenty-three Cents for money lent to the said Defendant by the said Plaintiff and for money paid by the said Plaintiff for the said Defendant at his request and for Interest upon and for the forbearance at Interest by the said Plaintiff to the said Defendant of money owing by the said Defendant to the said Plaintiff at the said De- fendant's request and for money found to be

due from the said Defendant to the said Plaintiff on account stated between them. And it being alleged that the said Chan Hu Low does not reside within this Island or its Dependencies a Writ of Foreign Attachment has been issued returnable on the Seventh day of January, 1885, wherein Poon Ah Gog is Garnishee.

Notice is hereby given thereof and that if at any time before final judgment in this action, the said Chan Hu Low or any person on his behalf will give the security and notice and file the appearance or plea required by the Ordinance of this Island intituled An Ordinance to provide for and re- gulate Process in actions at Law against persons absent from the Colony" the said Attachment may be dissolved.
