GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

The Honorable WILLIAM HENRY ADAMS, Esquire, Chief Justice of Hongkong, having returned to the Colony, has this day resumed the duties of his Office.

The Acting Appointments held during His Honor's absence will cease from this date.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

Notice is hereby given that a Sale of Land by Public Auction will be held on Wednesday, the 16th November next.

On this occasion a Plot of Ground at Kowloon suitable for the erection of Docks will be offered for sale.

Further particulars will be published on the 29th instant.

With reference to Government Notification No. 159 of 22nd instant, the following Schedule of the Lots for sale is published for general information.

The Plot of Ground at Kowloon suitable for the erection of Docks will be put up to Auction at the Stores of Messrs. BowRA & Co. in Queen's Road, at 3 P.M. precisely, and the remaining Lots will be afterwards sold on the ground.

The Plans and Conditions of sale may be seen upon application at the Surveyor General's Office between the hours of 11 A.M. and 3 P.M.
