will leave this for the above places on Tuesday, the 12th July, 1864, at 2 P.M.

CARGO will be received on board until 5 P.M. on the 10th, SPECIE until Noon on the 11th; and PARCELS until 5 P.M. on the 10th.

Contents and Value of Packages

are required.

A written declaration of the Contents and Value of the Packages for the Overland Route is required by the Egyptian Government, and must be delivered by the Shippers to the Com- pany's Agents with the Bills of Lading, or with Parcels; and the Company do not hold them- selves responsible for any Detention or Preju- dice which may happen from incorrectness on such declaration. Shippers of Cargo on the Company's Black Bills of Lading are particu- larly requested to note the Terms and Condition of these Bills of Lading, with reference to the Transhipment and forwarding of Cargo, with a view to the adequateness of their Insurance Policies in respect of the same.

ORIENTAL BANK CORPORATION. having come to the knowledge of the Officers of the Corporation in China that the $25 notes of the Bank have been imitated, and that several of these forged notes have got into circu- lation: It has been resolved to cancel the present issue of $25 notes and issue new ones of a different design. In accordance with this resolution all persons are cautioned against taking any of the $23 notes of the Bank, and all holders of such notes are requested to present them at the Bank's Office in Hongkong where they will receive dol- lars for them.

At Alexandria, with the Company's and the Austrian Lloyd's Mail Steamers for the Levant, Black Sea, Greece, Corfu, and Trieste:

At Messina. with the Company's Semi-weekly Mail Steamers for Malta and all the Italian Ports: At Marseilles, with the weekly Company's Mail Steamer for Valencia and by Railroad to Madrid.

Passengers going to London are informed that the Company will convey, free of charge, from Marseilles to London, their Baggage to the extent allowed by the regulation.

Cargo and Specie will be registered for London as well as for Marseilles, and accepted in transit through Marseilles for the principal places of Europe.

The Company has authority to grant Insurance on all Cargo conveyed by its Vessels, at a pre- minm of 14 per cent upon Merchandize, and å per cent on Treasure, from Hongkong to Lyons, Paris, London, and Holland, and proportionally for places this side of Suez.

Cargo will be received on board until 4 P.M., on the 21st of July; Specie and Parcels until 5 o'clock P.M. of the 22nd.

A Written Declaration of the Contents and Value of the Packages destined beyond Suez is required by the Egyptian Government, and must be furnished by the Shippers to the Agent with the Bills of Lading; and the Company will not

admitted a Partner in our Firm.
