The following letter from the Harbour Master, notifying a Coral Patch discovered in the neigh- bourhood of Labuan, is published for the information of Master Mariners, and the Public generally.

HARBOUR MASTER'S OFFICE, HONGKONG, 30th May, 1864.

SIR, The Harbour Master at Labuan has reported to me that the British steamer South Western struck on a coral patch not marked on the charts and having only one fathom water on it about 30 miles N. N. W. of that Island in Lat. 5° 54′ N. and Long. 115° 4′ 30′′ E. I have the honor to suggest that the same be published in the next Government Gazette for general information.-I have the honor to be, Sir, your most obedient Servant,

The following Return of Notes in Circulation and Specie in Reserve at the Bank of the ORIENTAL BANK CORPORATION, in Hongkong, is published for general information.

Account of the average amount of Notes in Circulation at the Bank of the Oriental Bank Corporation in Hongkong for the month ending 31st May, 1864, rendered in accordance with the terms of Her Majesty's Royal Charter of Incorporation.
