Notice is hereby given that the Syingpoon Market, South, will be ready for occupation on the 2nd May next.

Parties desirous of obtaining Stalls and Shops are required to register their names at the Office of the Surveyor General; and on the 23rd of April, at 3 P.M., at the said Market, Parties so having their names registered will be entitled to draw lots for Stalls and Shops, in accordance with the provisions of the Markets' Ordinance, No. 9 of 1858.

83 Stalls and 6 Shops will be available in the Market.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

With reference to Government Notification No. 40 of the 1st Instant, it is hereby made known that His Excellency the Governor has granted to Ho-Leong, of the Chin-Loong Shop, No. 541 Jervois Street, and 'Ng-Yü, of the Fook-loong Shop, No.77 Jervois Street, the Exclusive Privilege of preparing and selling prepared Opium within the Colony of Hongkong, and the Waters thercof, for the period of one year from the 1st of April, 1864.

NOTICE.

The Superintendent of the Pearl Fishery having reported, as the result of his recent inspection of the Pearl Banks, that almost all the Oysters have been found to be dead, Notice is hereby given, with reference to the Advertisement in the Government Gazette of the 12th December, 1863, that no Pearl Fishery will take place this year.
