The following Notification from Her Majesty's Consul at Canton is published for general information,

CANTON INDEMNITY MONEY.

BRITISH CONSULATE, CANTON, 6th January, 1864. With reference to his Notification in the Hongkong Government Gazette No. 52 of the 26th December, 1863, the Under- signed has to make known to the parties interested, that he will be prepared to issue to the Claimants or their legal Repre- sentatives Certificates for the amount of interest which have been verified on claims already paid, and the amounts of principal and interest on those lately admitted, on application at this Office between the hours of ten in the forenoon and four in the afternoon, on Tuesday the 12th instant and Friday the 15th instant, and on every succeeding Tuesday and Friday until further notice.
