All persons indebted in Crown Rents to the 24th June last, are reminded that the Twenty-one lays allowed them in the terms of their Leases for the payment of such Rents expired on the 15th Instant, and all parties in arrears of such Crown Rents are requested to pay the same into the Colonial Treasury on or before the 15th Proximo (August), as on that date the List of Defaulters will be transmitted to the Crown Solicitor to be dealt with according to Law.

'Government having sanctioned the closing of the Kedgerec Telegraph Office to which Office many Telegrams are forwarded from China for despatch, I request the favour of your issuing a Notice to the effect that all Telegrams sent by The China Mail Steamers proceeding to Calcutta should be addressed to that place to be forwarded, and not to Kedgerec.”
