HEREAS an action has been commenced in this Court at the suit of the above named Comptoir d'Escompte de Paris against the above named Byramjce Hormusjee Cama, trading as aforesaid, to recover the sum of Twenty thon- sund Four hundred and Twenty-five Dollars and Fifty-three Cents, upon and in respect of a Bill of txchange for the amount of Five thou- sand pounds sterling drawn by the Defendant under his said style or firm and dishonored and unpaid at the maturity thereof-aud in the fur- ther sum of Four thousand Two hundred and Thirty-one Dollars and Ninety Cents for re- exchange on the said Bill of Exchange and for money paid by the said Defendant at his request which amounts the Plaintiffs also seek to recover upon accounts stated in respect thereof by the said Defendant. And it being alleged that the said Byramjce Hormusjee Cama does not reside within this Island or its dependencies, a Writ of Foreign Attachment has been issued returnable on the Fourteenth day of August next, wherein Pestonjee Aspundiarjee Metta and George Farley Heard, both of Hongkong, Merchants, are Gar- nishees.
Notice is hereby given thereof and that if at any time before final judgment in this Action the said Byramjee Hormusjec Cama trading as aforesaid or any person on his behalf will give the security and Notice and file the appearance or plea re- quired by the Ordinance of this Island intituled 4 An Ordinance to provide for and regulate pro- cess in Actions at Law against persons absent from the Colony," the said Attachment may be dissolved.

HEREAS an Action has been commenced in this Court at the suit of the above named Dhurumsey Poonjabhoy against the above named Byramjee. Hormusjee Cama, trading as aforesaid, to recover the sum of Twelve thousand Eght hundred and Twelve Dollars and Fifty Cents for damages for non-accepting certain Shares in the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Company, Limited, bargained and sold by the Plaintiff to the Defendant which said Shares the Defendant has not accepted from the Plaintiff nor has he paid the price thereof; and for money paid by the Plaintiff for the Defendant at his request an dfor interest for the forbearance at interest by the Plaintiff to the Defendant of money due from the Plaintiff to the Defendant; and it being alleged that the said Byramjee Hormusjce Cama does not reside within this Island or its dependencies, a Writ of Foreign Attachment has been issued returnable on the Seventh day of August next, wherein Pestonjee Aspundiarjee Metta of Victoria, in the Colony of Hongkong, Merchant, and Albert Farley Heard and George Farley Heard of the same place, Merchants, are Garnishces.
Notice is hereby given thereof and that if at any time before final judgment in this action the aforesaid, or any person on his behalf will give said Byramjee Borinusjee Cama, trading as the security and notice and file the appearance or plea required by the Ordinance of this Island intituled "An Ordinance to provide for and re- gulate process in Actions at Law against persons absent from the Colony," the said Attachment" may be dissolved,

in this Court at the suit of the above named Robert Jardine, James Whittall, James McAndrew, Herbert St. Loger Magniac, William Keswick, and Edward Whittall, trading as afore- said,against the above named John Murray Purvis, trading as aforesaid, to recover the sum of Ninety Thousand and Seven Hundred Dollars for money paid by the Plaintiffs above named for the Defendant at his request and for money lent hy the Plaintiff's to the Defendant and for interest upon money due from the Defendant to the Plaintiffs and forborne at interest by the Plain- tiffs to the Defendant at his request and for money found to be due from the Defendant to the Plain- tiffs on accounts stated between them; and it being alleged that the said John Murray Purvi* does not reside within this Island or its Deper- dencies a Writ of Foreign Attachment has been issued returnable on the Seventh day of August next, wherein William Burrow Hafenden, et Hongkong, Master of the ship or vessel the Union, Pestonjce Aspundiarjee Motta, of Hous- kong, Merchant, and George Farley Heard, of the same place, Merchant, aré Garnishees;
Notice is hereby given thereof and that if at any time before final judgment in this Acties the said John Murray Purvis or any person his behalf will give the security and Notice file the appearance or plea required by the Or le nance of this Island intituled “An Ordinance to provide for and regulate process in actions t Law against persons absent from the Colony" the said Attachment may be dissolved.
