HEREAS an action has been commenced in this Court at the suit of the above med John Whittle against the above naned Byramjee Formusjee Cama, trading as aforesaid,

recover the sum of Threa thousand Six hun- red and Fifty Dollars for freight for the con- egance by the Plaintiff for the Defendant at his quest of Goods in the ship called the British Princess, whereof the Plaintiff is Master and *pon accounts stated between the Plaintiff and Verdant; and it being alleged that the said Byramjee Hermusjee Cama does not reside within

Island or its dependencies a Writ of Foreiga Attachment has been issued returnable on the Thirty-first day of July instant, wherein Pes-

jee Aspandiarjee Metta, Albert Farley Heard, George Farley Heard, of Victoria in the Cny of Hongkong, Merchants, and Henry William Wood of the same place, the Manager

the "Borneo Company, Limited" at llong- *g aforesaid, are Garnishees.

Notice is hereby given thereof and that if at 1 time before final judgment in this Action, The sail Byramjee Hormusjee Cama trading as

The CHARTERED BANK OF INDIA AUSTRALIA AND CHINA, Plaintiff, and

BYRAMJEE HORMUSJEE CAMA trading under the name, style or firm of H. B. CAMA AND COMPANY, Deft. HEREAS an action has been commenced in this Court at the suit of the above named Chartered Bank of India Australia and China against the above named Byramjee Hormusjec Caina trading as aforesaid to recover Six thousand Five hundred Dolbers for that J. Purvis and Son on the thirteenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and sixty-five by their Bill of Exchange now overdue directed to the Defudant trading as aforesaid, required the Defendant ta pay to the said J. Purvis and Son or order Six thousand two hundred Dollars only thirty days after sight, and the Defendant trading as aforesaid accepted the said Bill and the said J. Purvis and Son endorsed the same to the Plaintiff but the Defendant did not pay the same and by reason thereof the Plaintiff incurred extenses in and about the presenting and noting of the said Bill and incidental to the dishonor thereof; and for money payable by the Defendant to the Plaintiff for interest upon money due from the Defendant to the Plaintiff ad forborne at interest by the Plaintiff to the Defendant at his request. And it being alleged that the said Byra njec Hormusjec Cama trading as aforesaid does not reside within the Island of Hongkong and its Dependencies, a Writ of Foreign Attachment has been issued re- turnable on the Thirty-first day of July instant, wherein Pestonjec Aspundiarico Motta, and Albert

Farley Heard and George F. Heard, the resident partners of Augustine Heard and Company, of Victoria aforesaid, Merchants, are Garnishees.

Notice is hereby given thereof and that if at any time before final judgment in this action the said Byramjee Hormusjec Caina trading as afore- sail or any person on his behalf will give the security and notice and file the appearance or plea required by the Ordinance of this Island intituled "An Ordinance to provide for and regulate process in actions at Law against persons absent from the Colony" the said Attachorut may be dissolved.

"HEREAS an action has been commenced in this Court at the suit of the above named Chartered Mercantile Bank of India, Loudon and China against the above named Chellabhoy Pudumsey, Luckumsey Sewjee, Megire Ghellabhoy, and Nagsey Natha trading as aforesaid, to recover Fifty-five thousand Dollars, for that Sewjce Nausey and Company, on the Twenty-Burth day of March, One thousaud eight hundred and sixty-five by their Bills of Exchange now overdue directed to the Defendants, directed the Defendants to pay to the said Sewjen Nausey and Company or order Fifty thousand Dollars, sixty days after sight, aud the Defendanta accepted the said Bills and the said Sewjce Nausey and Company endorsed the same to the Plaintiff
