Relative Rank.—(2)—1864,
His Royal Highness the Field Marshal Commanding-in-Chief desires that the following be inserted, in lieu of clause 4, as at present forming part of paragraph 12, page 4, of the Queen's Regulations and Orders for the Army, viz.:-
4.-
-All Officers of Yeomanry and Volunteer Corps rank, as juniors of their respective ranks, with Officers of the
Regular, Fencible, and Militia forces."

HORSE GUARDS, S.W., 16th August, 1864.
Relative Rank.-(1)—1864.
His Royal Highness the Field Marshal Commanding-in-Chief has received Her Majesty's commands to promulgate to the Army the following regulation, which has been decided on, in concurrence with the Secretary of State for War, viz. :- The order, as contained in Her Majesty's Book of Regulations, for the relative rank of the Officers of the Army and Royal Marines, with those of the Militia, Yeomanry, and Volunteers, shall be held applicable also to Officers of Colonial Militia, Yeomanry, and Volunteer Corps, which have been, or may hereafter be, raised by the Legislature of the Colonies, with the sanction of Her Majesty the Queen, during the period of their embodiment and service with Her Majesty's Regular Forces.

His Excellency the GOVERNOR is pleased to make the following appointments in the Hongkong Volunteers:
Artillery Company.
First Lieutenant H. COHEN to be Captain, vice MYBURGH, resigned. Second Lieutenant W. J. HENDERSON to be First Lieutenant, vice COHEN. F. I. HAZELAND, Quarter Master Serjeant, to be Second Lieutenant.
T. G. LINSTEAD, Color Serjeant, to be Lieutenant, vice DAVIDSON, retired.

HONG-KONG, le 13 Février, 1865.
MONSIEUR LE GOUVERNEUR, -Le Contre Amiral Gouverneur Commandant en Chef en Cochinchine m'informe que l'Empereur ayant résolu de ne pas ratifier le traité aux termes duquel la France devait rétrocéder sous certaines conditions au Gouvernement d'Annam les trois provinces qu'elle occupe dans la Basse Cochinchine, le traité de Saigon du 5 Juin 1862 demeure maintenu dans son iniégrité.
J'ai l'honneur de porter à la connaissance de Votre Excellence cette décision qui peut être de nature à intéresser le commerce de Hong-Kong.
