His Excellency SIR RICHARD GRAVES MACDONNELL has been pleased to accept Lieutenant BRINKLEY'S resignation of the Office of Private Secretary from the 1st of January next, and to appoint provisionally JAMES RUSSELL, Esquire, to be Private Secretary from that date till further notice.

His Excellency SIR RICHARD GRAVES MACDONNELL has been pleased to direct that the Holidays customary at the approaching Season shall be kept from Tuesday, the 24th, to Thursday, the 26th Instant, inclusive, and on New Year's Day.

It is hereby notified that, for the ensuing Year, the Hongkong Stone Quarry Farm is let, under certain conditions, to CHEONG-A-TAK; and that the Kowloon Stone Quarry Farm is similarly let to CHUN-A-KUM and CHEONG-A-SEE.
