POST OFFICE NOTIFICATION.

It is hereby notified for general information that arrangements have been concluded between the British Post Office and the Post Office of Prussia under which Book Packets and Patterns or Samples of Merchandise may be forwarded from Hongkong to those places in Turkey, Moldavia or Wallachia, at which Austria maintains Post Offices, viz.: Adrianople, Alexandretta, Antivari, Bakau, Berlad, Beyrout, Botuschany, Bourgas, Bucharest, Caifa, Candia, Canea, Cavalla, Chio (Tchesme), Constanti- nople, Dardanelles, Durazzo, Fookschan, Galatz, Gallipoli, Giurgevo, Ibraila, Ineboli, Jaffa, Janina, Jassy, Jerusalem, Kustendjie, Lagos, Larnaka, Latakia, Mergina, Mitylene, Philippopel, Piatra, Plojeshte, Prevesa, Retimo, Rhodes, Roman, Rutshuk, Salonica, Samsoun, Seres, Sinope, Smyrna, Sofia, Sulina, Tchernavoda, Tenedos, Trebizond,. Tripoli, Tultscha, Valona, Varna, Volo,-at the fol- lowing reduced rates of postage, which must in all cases be paid in advance.

No Packet of Patterns or Samples must, however, exceed 8 ounces in weight, and no Book Packet must exceed 3 Pounds in weight.

It is hereby notified that a List of the Tenements valued for the Year 1868, under the Provisions of Ordinance No. 5 of 1863, will be open for inspection at the Government Offices for Fourteen Days, commencing on Tuesday the 19th instant.

Persons wishing to inspect the List are requested to apply at the Colonial Treasury.

NOTICE.

Applications for Passage Broker's Licenses for the Year 1868, under Ordinance No. 11 of 1857, will be received at this Office from this date up to the 31st December next.

Applicants are requested to state the names and addresses of the Parties they offer as Sureties, under Clause I of the Ordinance aforesaid.

Medical Men desirous of practising under the Emigration Act and local Emigration Ordinances whose Diplomas are not already registered, are requested to send them to this Office for Registration, otherwise their Certificates will not be received.

NOTICE.

Consignees and Masters of Ships are hereby informed that, after the 15th proximo, the Boundary, North of which Vessels shall not anchor, is as follows:-

Kellet's Island bearing E. by S. S.

All Ships to be properly moored with 35 fathoms chain (East and West.)

The passage between the North Boundary of Men-of-War anchorage and the Kowloon Peninsula

is to be kept clear.

The Mail Steamers to moor near the Fort William, but South of her.

Steamers and Vessels not having any definite employment will still remain on the North side.
