The HONGKONG & WHAMPOA DOCK COMPANY, LIMITED, Plaintiffs,
vs.
ROBERT SMITH and JAMES EWING,
Defendants.
HEREAS an Action has been commenced in this Honorable Court at the suit of the above named Hongkong and Whampoa Dock Company, Limited, against the above named Robert Smith and James Ewing to recover the sum of Six thousand, Nine hundred and Forty- eight Dollars and Seventy-nine Cents for money found to be due from the said Defendants to the said Hougkong and Whampoa Dock Company, Limited on an account stated between them; and it being alleged that the said Robert Smith and James Ewing do not reside within this Island or its Dependencies a writ of Foreign Attachment has been issued returnable on the Nineteenth day of August, instant, wherein William Taylor of Victoria, in the Colony of Hongkong, Master of the Ship "Mirage" is garnishee.
Notice is hereby given that if at any time before final judgment in this action the said Robert Smith and James Ewing or any person on their behalf will give the security and notice and file the appearance or plea required by the Ordinance of this Island entituled "An Ordi- nance to provide for and regulate process in actions at Law against persons absent from the Colony," the said attachment may be dissolved.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF HONGKONG IN BANKRUPTCY. 【OTICE.—FREDERICK MAJOR, of Gough Street, Victoria, in the Colony of Hong- kong, Clerk and Merchant, having been adjudged Bankrupt under a Petition of adjudication of Bankruptcy filed in the Supreme Court on the Fifth day of July, 1867, a Public Sitting for the said Bankrupt to pass his last examination and make application for his order of discharge will be held before the Honorable John Smale, Esquire, Chief Justice of the said Court, at the Supreme Court House, Victoria, Hongkong, on the Seventh day of August, 1867, at Eleven o'clock in the forenoon precisely.
Mr. Norman Ramsay Masson, Supreme Court House is the Official Assignee and Mr. Edmund Sharp is the Solicitor acting in the Bankruptcy.

NOTICE is hereby given that by an order of
discharge bearing date the Ninth day of August, A.D. 1867, under the hand of the Honorable JOHN SMALE, Esquire, the Chief Jus- tice of Hongkong, and under the Seal of the said Supreme Court in Baukruptcy, the above named William Henry Hohnholtz, was duly dis- charged as such Bankrupt as aforesaid.
