NOTICE.

The Commissioners of Her Majesty's Customs do hereby give Notice, that the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury have directed that on and after the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven, a duplicate Shipping Bill of all Goods entered or required to be entered in transit, under the transit regulations now in force from the United Kingdom to the British Possessions abroad, shall be furnished by the person or persons entering such Goods to the proper Officer of Customs at the Port or Ports in the said Kingdom at which such Goods may be entered for exportation in transit.

CONDITIONS OF SALE.

1. The highest bidder above an upset price of $66,200 shall be the Purchaser and if any dispute arise the Lot shall be put up again at a former bidding.

2. No person shall at any bidding advance less than $100.

3. Immediately after the fall of the hammer the Purchaser shall sign the Memorandum of Agreement hereinafter contained for completing the purchase according to these conditions, and shall within three days of the day of Sale pay into the Colonial Treasury the amount of Premium at which the Lot shall have been knocked down.

4. The Purchaser of the Lot shall be entitled to and shall execute on demand a Lease from the Crown of the Piece or Parcel of ground comprised in such Lot for 999 years, to be computed from the 24th day of June 1867 at such Annual Rental payable half yearly on the 24th day of December and the 24th day of June in every year as is specified in the particulars of such Lot hereinbefore contained, and such Crown Lease shall be subject to and contain all the Exceptions, Reservations, Covenants, Clauses and Conditions usually inserted in the Crown Leases of Inland Lots in the Colony of Hongkong and contained in the Printed Form of Crown Lease mentioned in Schedule A annexed hereto and also such Special Covenants an abstract whereof is annexed hereto in Schedule B as have reference to this particular Lot.

5. The Purchaser of the Lot if a Body Corporate shall execute the Lease under its common Seal, or in such manner and form as the Law Officer of the Crown may advise.

6. The Purchaser of the Lot shall pay to the Surveyor General a Fee of $5 upon the execution of the Crown Lease thereof.
