APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 703. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint HENRY HESSY JOHNSTON GOMPERTZ to act as Puisne Judge during the absence on leave of His Honour the Chief Justice or until further notice, with effect from the 21st instant.

No. 704.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint HENRY HESSY JOHNSTON Gompertz, Assistant Colonial Secretary, to the post of First Magistrate in succession to THOMAS SERCOMBE SMITH, transferred to the service of the Straits Settlements, with effect from the 29th instant.

No. 705.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint CECIL CLEMENTI, Assistant Registrar General, to the post of Assistant Colonial Secretary in succession to HENRY HESSY JOHNSTON GOMPERTZ, promoted, with effect from the 29th instant.

No. 706. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint EDWARD DUDLEY CORSCADEN WOLFE, Cadet, to the post of Assistant Registrar General in succession to CECIL CLEMENTI, promoted, with effect from the 29th instant.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.

No. 708.—It is hereby notified, with reference to Government Notification No. 732 of the 1st November, 1905, that all Children under twelve years of age, admitted as patients. into the Civil Hospital, the Victoria Hospital, the Lunatic Asylum, the Kennedy Town Hospital or the Hospital Hulk Hygeia, will be charged half the fees charged to adult persons in similar circumstances, with effect from the 1st proximo.
