GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

It is hereby notified that the Central School is open to all, irrespective of Nationality, who are willing to study both English and Chinese.

Applicants for admission, not Chinese, are requested to send in their Names to the Head Master not later than Friday the 1st proximo, if possible, and as soon afterwards as practicable.

NOTICE.

WANTED by the Government of Hongkong a Hulk, to be provided with three Anchors and three hundred fathoms of Chain.

Tenders for the above will be received by the Harbor Master, from whom any necessary particulars can be obtained.

The Harbor Master does not bind himself to accept the lowest or any Tender.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

The New Edition of the Ordinances of Hongkong having been received from home, and placed according to Clause 5 of No. 7 of 1864 in the Colonial Treasury, it is hereby notified that for the convenience of the Public copies of the same reserved for sale are deposited with Mr. D. NORONHA, the Government Printer, from whom they may be obtained at the cost of $5 a Copy.

A List of Errata is prepared, and will be issued gratis to the purchaser of each Copy.

Servants' Certificates of Registration have been returned to this Office with remarks made thereon referring to the characters of those registered.

These endorsements are illegal, and in contravention of Section XXVI of the "Victoria Regis- tration Ordinance 1866."

Employers of Servants should, when necessary, fill in the column for noting the date of expiration of service, but make no further addition.
