THE HONGKONG GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, 12TH SEPTEMBER, 1868.
GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
Tenders will be received at this Office, until Noon on Wednesday, the 23rd instant, for supplying the undermentioned Articles of Provisions to the Police Force, for Six Months, commencing on the 1st proximo, viz. :-
Dholl, Ghee, Rice, and Fish, (dry salted) per pecul.
The Articles must be of good quality, deliverable at the Central Police Barracks at such times and in such quantities as may be required.
Samples to be produced at the time of opening the Tenders, at which time the parties tendering must be present.
Any further information can be obtained on application at the Office of the Superintendent of Police, between the hours of 10 A.M. and 4 P.M.

POST OFFICE NOTIFICATION.
1. With reference to the Notification of the 22nd ultimo, it is hereby further notified by direction of His Excellency The GOVERNOR that, on and after Monday, the 2nd November next, Money Orders will be granted at this Office on the Post Offices at Shanghae and Yokohama, and in like manner Money Orders will be granted at Shanghae and Yokohama upon this Office, for sums not exceeding Fifty Dollars, at the ruling rates for Dollars, charged with the following rates of Commission, viz. :—
On Orders not exceeding $25,
Above $25 and not exceeding $50,..
2. The Money Orders will in each case be drawn in Dollars and Cents.

3. All payments for Money Orders, whether by the Public to the Post Office, or by the Post Office to the Public, will be made in Current Dollars.
4. The stipulations contained in the Notification of the 22nd August last, so far as they are applicable, will be enforced in conducting the local Money Order system between Hongkong, and Shanghae and Yokohama.
