THE HONGKONG GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, 29TH AUGUST, 1868.

Ministry of the Colonies.-Royal Decree. (Translation).

For the reasons set forth by the Minister of the Colonies, in accordance with the Council of Ministers, I decreed the following:-

Art. 1.-With regard to the exaction of Port and Navigation Dues in Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Phillipine Islands, equality shall exist between Spanish Vessels and the Ships of all those Nations which may, in their respective Territories and Colonies, make the like concession to Spanish Vessels proceeding from the Ports of the above mentioned Islands and from the Ports of the Peninsula and adjacent Islands.

Art. 2.-Reciprocity in the payment of the said Dues shall come into operation in the Colonies with regard to the Vessels of each Nation on the day of publication in the "Gazette" of the Order by which the said reciprocity may be determined.

It is hereby notified that the Right Reverend the Lord Bishop of Victoria has, by virtue of his Letters Patent, appointed EDMUND SHARP, of Victoria, Hongkong, Solicitor and Notary Public, to be Registrar and Actuary of the Diocese and See of Victoria.
