the 24th day of June, 1868, at such Annual Rental payable half yearly on the 24th Day of December and the 24th Day of June in every Year as is specified in the Particulars of such Lot hereinbefore contained, and such Crown Lease shall be subject to and contain all the exceptions, reservations, covenants, clauses, and conditions usually inserted in the Crown Leases of Inland Lots in the Colony of Hongkong and contained in the Printed Form of Crown Lease in Schedule A annexed hereto.

5.-The Purchaser of every Lot shall pay to the Surveyor General on behalf of Her Majesty The QUEEN a Fee of $5 upon the execution of the Crown Lease thereof.

6. Should the Purchaser neglect or fail to comply with these conditions his Premium or any portion thereof which may be paid shall be thereupon forfeited to Her Majesty who shall be at full liberty either to enforce the sale, or to re-sell the Property at such time and place and in such manner as to Her Majesty shall seem fit, and in case of a re-sale the increase if any of the Premium or Purchase Money shall be retained by Her Majesty and the deficiency if any and all costs and expenses shall be made good by the Defaulter and be recoverable as liquidated damages.

7.-Possession of every Lot sold shall be given to the Purchaser and deemed to have been taken by him on the Day of sale.

Schedule A.

The Printed Form of Crown Lease referred to in the foregoing conditions of sale can be inspected on application at the Surveyor General's Office previously to the sale.

Schedule B.

Special Covenants referred to in the foregoing Conditions of Sale.

A. The Crown Leases of sale Lots Nos. 1 and 2 shall contain a covenant that the Lessees their executors, administrators, or assigns will allow free passage and right of way as heretofore over the same 14 feet in width and not less than 11 feet in height.

Memorandum of Agreement by the Purchaser.

Memorandum that each of the persons whose names are hereunder written has been declared the highest bidder for the Lot described in the foregoing Particulars of sale and hereunder specified oppo- site to his said name and signature and does hereby agree to become the Lessee thereof under and subject to the foregoing Conditions of Sale and on his part to perform and abide by the said Conditions.

His Excellency SIR RICHARD GRAVES MACDONNELL, C.B., has been pleased to appoint WM. STANLEY ADAMS, Esquire, M.D., to be Health Officer, vice Dr. HENDERSON, resigned.

Dr. ADAMS will also act as Medical Inspector of Emigrants.
