THE HONGKONG GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, 18TH SEPTEMBER, 1869.
An Ordinance enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the Advice of the Legislative Council thereof, to authorize the Appropriation of a Supplementary Sum not exceeding Thirty-eight thousand Dollars to defray the Charges of the Year 1868.
WE
HEREAS it has become necessary to make further Provi- sion for the Public Service of the Colony for the Year 1868, in addition to the Charge upon the Revenue for the Service of the said Year already provided for in the Estimates submitted to the Legislative Council: Be it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the Advice of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-
Title.
Preamble.
I. A Sum not exceeding Thirty-eight thousand Dollars shall Supplement- be and the same is hereby charged upon the Revenue of this ary Estimates, Colony for the Service of the Year 1868, the said Sum so charged being expended as hereinafter specified; that is to say :-

HEREAS the Expenditure required for the Service of this Preamble.
W Colony for the Year 1870, has been estimated at the Sum
of Six hundred and Thirty-nine thousand Six hundred and Sixteen Dollars and Forty-five Cents: Be it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the Advice of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-
I. A Sum not exceeding Six hundred and Forty thousand Estimates, Dollars shall be, and the same is hereby charged upon the Revenue 1870. of this Colony for the Service of the Year 1870, and the said Sum so charged shall be expended as hereinafter specified; that is to say:-
