With reference to Government Notification No. 75 of the 7th ultimo, it is hereby made known that His Excellency SIR RICHARD GRAVES MACDONNELL, C.B., Governor and Commander-in-Chief, has granted to Hü-Nü of the Ping-Ki Shop, No. 25 Jervois Street, and Ip-Tsing, of the Chun-Un Shop, No. 36 B. Bonham Strand, the exclusive Privilege of preparing and selling prepared Opium within the Colony of Hongkong and the Waters thereof, for the period of One Year from the 1st of August, 1869.

Tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office, until Noon on Tuesday, the 24th instant, for the supply and making up of the undermentioned Winter Clothing for the use of the Police Department; viz:-

Seventeen fine blue Cloth Tunics, Seventeen pairs do. Trowsers, One hundred blue Flannel Tunics,... One hundred pairs do. Trowsers,.

Two hundred blue Cloth Tunics, Two hundred pairs do. Trowsers, Two hundred Linen Turbans,..

The blue Flannel and Serge to be supplied by the Contractor; the other Materials will be fur- nished from the Police Store.

Forms of Tenders and any further information can be obtained on application at the Office of the Captain Superintendent of Police.

No Tender will be received unless sent, in the Form required.
