PROCLAMATION.

[L.S.] RICHARD GRAVES MACDONNELL.

.By His Excellency SIR RICHARD GRAVES MACDONNELL, Knight, and Companion of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Ilongkong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same.

Whereas the Commands of Her Most Gracious Majesty The QUEEN, conveyed through The Right Honorable Earl GRANVILLE, K.G., Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for the Colonies, have been received, approving of and confirming the following Ordinance; namely:-

No. 14 of 1868, entitled-An Ordinance enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the Advice of the Legislative Council thereof, to apply a Sum not exceeding Eight hundred and Thirty-seven thousand Dollars to the Public Service of the Year 1869:

Now, therefore, it is hereby declared, that the said Ordinance has been so approved and confirmed, as aforesaid.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

With reference to Government Notification No. 77 of the 11th June, 1868, it is hereby notified that The Queen's Exequatur empowering the Honorable WILLIAM KESWICK to act as Consul General for His Hawaiian Majesty at Hongkong, has received Her Majesty's Signature.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

His Excellency SIR RICHARD GRAVES MACDONNELL has been pleased to appoint provisionally, and till further notice, Lieutenant R. N. BUCKLE, R.E., to be Aide-de-Camp from the 20th ultimo, inclusive.
