PROCLAMATION.
[L.S.] RICHARD GRAVES MACDONNELL.
By His Excellency SIR RICHARD GRAVES MACDONNELL, Knight, and Companion of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same.
Whereas the Commands of Her Most Gracious Majesty The QUEEN, conveyed through The Right Honorable Earl GRANVILLE, K.G., Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for the Colonies, have been received, approving of and confirming the following Ordinance; namely:-
No. 15 of 1868, entitled-An Ordinance enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the Advice of the Legislative Council thereof, to assimilate the Laws of this Colony respecting Treasonable Offences to the Law of the United Kingdom :
Now, therefore, it is hereby declared, that the said Ordinance has been so approved and confirmed, as aforesaid.

Given at Victoria, Hongkong, this 16th Day of March, 1869.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
Tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon on Wednesday, the 24th instant, for the supply and making up of the undermentioned Summer Clothing for the use of the Police Department, viz:-
Seventeen Alpaca Tunics,
Seventeen Felt Helmets,
Thirty-four pairs White Duck Trowsers,..
One hundred Serge Tunics,.
Two hundred pairs white Duck Trowsers,.
One hundred Řattan Helmets with Cotton covers,
Seven hundred Khakee Drill Tunics,
Seven hundred pairs do. Trowsers,
Two hundred Linen Turbans,.
Two hundred Blue Camlet Tunics,.
Two hundred pairs Nankeen Trowsers,
Two hundred pairs Chinese Shoes,.
Two hundred Bamboo Hats,.
For Inspectors.
For European Force.
For Indian Force.

Sixty pairs Blue Stockings,..
The Alpaca and Serge to be supplied by the Contractors, the other materials will be furnished from the Police Store.
Samples to be produced at the time of the opening of the Tenders.
Forms of Tenders and any further information can be obtained on application at the Office of the Captain Superintendent of Police,
No Tenders will be received unless sent in, in the Form required.
