PROCLAMATION.

By His Excellency SIR RICHARD GRAVES MACDONNELL, Knight, and Companion of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same.
Whereas the Commands of Her Most Gracious Majesty The QUEEN, conveyed through The Right Honorable Earl GRANVILLE, K.G., Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for the Colonies, have been received, disallowing Ordinance No. 2 of 1867, entitled-An Ördinance enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the Advice of the Legislative Council thereof, for the Establishment and Regulation of a Naval Yard Police Force:
Notice is hereby given of the same, and the Provisions of that Ordinance are declared to be null and void, and of no effect.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
Tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office, until Noon on Thursday, the 25th Instant, for the supply of the undermentioned Articles for the use of the Police Department, for Six Months, from the 1st Proximo until the 31st August, 1869; viz. :-
Oil, per jar of 24 catties; Lamp Wick, large and small, per dozen; Buckets, Tubs, each; Salt and Soap, per lb.; Gram, Bran, Paddy, Oats, and Straw, per picul; and Hay, per truss.
The above Articles must be of good quality, deliverable at the Central Police Barracks, at such time and in such quantities as may be required.
Any further particulars will be given on application at the Office of the Captain Superintendent of Police.

It is hereby notified that the Right Honorable Earl GRANVILLE, K.G., Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for the Colonies, has been pleased to appoint WALTER MEREDITH DEANE, Esquire, to be Captain Superintendent of Police, from the 24th Day of July last, vice WILLIAM QUIN, Esquire, retired.
