“OTICE.-MAHOMEDBHOY Dossa, of Vic- toria, in the Colony of Hongkong, lately trading under the style or Firm name of Dossie bboy Parbia, having been adjudged Baukrupt under a Petition for adjudication of Bankruptcy filed in the Supreme Court of ilongkong, in Bankruptes, on the Ninth day of December, One thousand Eight hundred and Seventy, is hereby required to surrender himself to William Hastings Alex- ander, Esquire, the Registrar of the said Court, at the first meeting of his Creditors, to be held before the said Registrar, on the Tirenty-ninth day of December instant, at Eleven o'clock in the forenoon precisely, at the said Court.

William Hastings Alexander, Esquire, is the Official Assignee, and Mr. John J. Francis is the Solicitor acting in the Bankruptcy.

A public sitting will hereafter be appointed by the said Court for the said Bankrupt to pass his final examination, of which sitting notice will be given in the Hangkong Government Gazette, At the first meeting of Creditors the Regis-. trar will receive the proofs of the Debts of Cre- ditors, and the Creditors may choose an Assignee or Assignces of the Bankrupt's Estate and Effects.

At the public sitting, proofs of the Debts of Creditors will be received and the Bankrupt will be required to submit himself to be examined, and to make a full disclosure and discovery of all his Estate and Effects, and to finish his examination. Notice is also hereby given to all persous indebted to the said Bankrupt or that have any of his Effects, not to deliver the same, but to the Official Assignee.

Notice is hereby given thereof, and that if at any time before final judgment in this Action, the said Cassum Nathoo or any person on his behalf, will give the security and notice, and file the appearance or plea required by the Ordi- nance of this Island, entitled "An Ordinance to provide for and regulate process in Actions at Law against persons absent from the Colony," the said Attachment may be dissolved.

EREAS an Action has been commenced in this Court ut the suit of the nhove named Mah-ah-Tho, against the above named Cassum Nathoo, to recover the sum of One thou- sand Treg hundred Dollars, being the amounĮ of the Draft or Cheque drawn by the said De- fendant in favor of the Plaintiff on his the De- fendant's Compradore, but which was dishonored, which said Draft or Cheque was given by the said Defendant to the Plaintiff for goods sold and delivered by the Plaintiff to the Defendant, and also for money due on accounts stated; and it being alleged that the said Cassum Nathoo does not reside within this Island or its dependencies, a writ of Foreign Attachment has been issued returnable on the Fourth day of January next, wherein the National Bank of India, Limited, and James Chalmers, are Garrishees.
