Drawing (Geometrical, Military, Free-haud, Figure, Water-color, &c.), £3 per annum (including materials), Hindustani-The charge for this subject depends upon the number in the class.

Music, Four Guineas per annum for one lesson per werk, or Six Guineas for two lessons.

Dancing (taught from Michaelmas to Midsummer), 10s. 6d. per quarter.

Prizes offered for competition yearly--

Gold Medal.

Classical Silver Medal.

One of £10 per annum, tenable for 4 years, open to the whole school.

The Malcolm Scholarship of about £30 per annum, tenable for three years, for Sons of Officers in the Royal Navy or Marines, Nominations for Cadetships, &c.—

Four Nominations for Naval Cadetships,

A Nomination for Clerk's Assistant,

A Nomination for a Navigating Cadetship,

Are given yearly by the Lords of the Admiralty, and awarded at the discretion

of the Council.

The Yarborough Scholarship (value about £33) is attached to the first Naval Cadetship.

1. The right of nominating boys is acquired-

RULES.

(1.) By a debenture of £25, paid at one time; this Debenture is hold for two lives, and gives each life in succession the right of continu- y nominating a pupil for admission into the School, but with a payment of £3 on the transfer to the second life. (2.) By a payment of £10; this des the person paying the same to nominate one pupil only. (3.) Instead of either of these nominations, the sum of £2 10s. per aunum, may be paid fyearly), so long as the boy remains in the school.

2. No boy can be admitted who has been expelled or removed for misconduct from any other school. A certificate of good conduct from the we school must be produced prior to admission.

3. No boys are admitted under the age of eight, or allowed to remain after the age of eighteen, without the leave of the Council. Previous to don, a Baptismal or Registrar-General's Certificate, or other satisfactory evidence of age must be produced. No boy can be admitted who is sable to read or spell.

4. No boy can be admitted or re-admitted into the School until the Medical Attendant has certified him to be free from contagious disease and firmity that may render him objectionable. Payments are to be made half-yearly, in advance, to the Secretary, at Midsummer and Christmas; tances made by drafts or bill, are to be made payable on demand. No boy can be admitted or re-admitted without a Certificate being produced to e Principal, signed by the Secretary, of such payment having been made.

5. Boys admitted at Lady-day and Michaelmas must pay the first quarter in advance, and then half-yearly (as above).

6. A full quarter's notice (on or before the regular quarter days) must be given to the Secretary before removing a boy, or a quarter's payment ⚫dte required.

7. If it shall appear to the satisfaction of the Council, that any boy has been removed on account of illness, such portion of the money paid for ward and education for the current half-year will be remitted as the Council may think fit; but no allowance is made for any time less than a full quarter.

8. The following is the maximum of Weekly Allowances:-smaller sums may be given at the discretion of the parents-

For boys under ten years of age, 3d; over teu and under thirteen, 6.; over thirteen 1s.

The money for this purpose may be paid to the Secretary half-yearly in advance. The friends of the boys are requested not to increase this, or any other means to give them an injudicious command of money; and it is particularly requested that they will make no remittance for the payment fas, without previously communicating with the Principal. All letters and parecis must be sent free of charge.

9. List of Clothes required-

3 Suits of Clothes and an extra pair of Trousers (Knicker-

borkers not allowed).

4 Pairs of Balmoral or Blucher Boots (3 pairs very strong for

play-ground wear).

1 Pair of Slippas.

8 White day Shirts or 4 coloured (Flaunel).

12 Collars (if separate from Shirts).

4 Night Shirts.

* Pairs of Stockings,

12 Pocket Handkerchiefs.

3 Caps or Hats (oue for play-ground wear).

Combs (including Pocket-comb), Brushes (Including

Tooth-brush), and 2 Bugs,

3 Flannel Waistcoats or Jerseys.

3 Neckties.

1 Great Coat or Cleak,

1 Comforter or Scarf.

3 Drawers (Flannel or Cotton).

2 Pairs of Braces.

2 Pairs of Gloves.

If worn.

N.B.-These articles are to be in a state of perfect repair, marked at full length, and sent in a box (no hair trunks allowed) not exceeding 22 long, 16 inches wide, and 12 inches high. An inventory is to be sent to the Matron. If clothes are returned after the holidays in a state ng repair, the Secretary is authorized to send them back to the Parents.

These articles must be kept up to the full number; all repairs are to be regularly paid for by the Parents, and no new Clothing will be provided

**Tan School.

A Bible and Prayer Book are to be supplied with each boy.

10, A Play Box may be sent (if desired), not exceeding 10 inches in length, 13 inches in width, and 12 inches in height, to have a lock aud * ta open downwards in front, where the name must be painted in full. In the case of brothers, only one box is to be sent. Boxes exceeding * specified will not be received.

11. The Vacations are at Midsummer for six weeks, and at Christmas for four weeks. At Easter leave is granted from 12 on the Wednesday food Friday, until 8 o'clock on the Evening of the following Wednesday.

12. The friends of the boys are required to made their own arrangements for their going home and returning to the School, and all boys must ***ble punctually at the time appointed, except in the case of illness, which must be venched for by a Medical Certificate.

13. Quarterly Reports of Progress and Conduct are made by the Principal, and forwarded to the parents or guardians by the Secretary.

Wednesday and Saturday Afternoons, being half-holidays, are set apart for the admision of visitors in the boys, and their friends are to adhere to these days as much as possible. Leave is allowed once a month, from 12) on Saturday to 8 o'clock on Sunday Evening. *Cowed to go out with, or visit, any person whose name has not previously been furnished to the Secretary, in writing, by the parents or guardians. 10.
