A detailed Index to the Ordinances of Hongkong having been prepared by Mr. LISTER the authority of the Government, Copies can be obtained at the Government Printers, TS. NORONHA & Sons, for Three Dollars each.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.

Tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office, until Noon on Tuesday, the 22nd tant, for the supply of the undermentioned Articles for the use of the Police Department, for Six

ths, from the 1st proximo until the 28th day of February, 1871, viz.:

Buckets. Tubs.

Salt. Soup. Grain. Bran. Paddy. Oats. Straw. Ilay.

The above enumerated Articles must be of good quality, deliverable at the Central Police cracks, at such time and in such quantities as may be required.

Forms of Tender and any further information can be obtained on application at the Office of the perintendent of Police.

No Tenders will be received unless sent in the Form required.
