GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
The following Decision of the Marine Court of Inquiry into the Loss of the British Ship Rangoon, on the Pratas Shoal, is published for general information.

REPORT.
First. That the British Ship Rangoon, Official Number 48,673, was wrecked on the Pratas Shoal on
the morning of the 14th of July last.
Second. That no blame whatever is to be attached to the Master, Officers, or Crew of the said Ship. The Court therefore recommends that a Duplicate Certificate of Competency No. 86,003 be given to the Master RAY DYER CONGDON, in lieu of the one which he held but appears to have lost subse- quent to the wreck.
