An Ordinance enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the Advice of the Legislative Council thereof, to apply a Sum not exceeding Seven hundred and Sixty-five thousand Dollars to the Public Service of the Year 1870.

WHEREAS by Ordinance No. 12 of 1869 a Sum not exceed

ing Six hundred and Forty thousand Dollars was charged upon the Revenue of this Colony for the Service of the Year 1870; And Whereas since the passing of the said Ordinance the Expendi ture required for the Service of the Colony for the Year 1870 has been estimated at the Sum of Seven hundred and Sixty-four thousand Four hundred and Sixty-four Dollars and Forty-five Cents, and it is expedient to make further Provision for defraying the same: Be it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the Advice of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

1. Ordinance No. 12 of 1869 is hereby repealed.

Repeal of No. 12 of 1889.

II. A Sum not exceeding Seven hundred and Sixty-five thousand Estimates, Dollars shall be, and the same is hereby charged upon the Revenue 1870. of this Colony for the Service of the Year 1870, and the said Sum so charged shall be expended as hereinafter specified; that is to say
