PROCLAMATION.
VOL. XVI.
His Excellency HENRY WASE WHITFEILD, Major-General Commanding Her Majesty's Troops. and Japan, and Lieutenant-Governor of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies. Whereas the Commands of Her Most Gracious Majesty The QUEEN, conveyed through The Right The Earl GRANVILLE, K.G., Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for the Colonies, have mceived, approving of and confirming the following Ordinances; namely:
No. 1 of 1870, entitled-An Ordinance enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the Advice
of the Legislative Council thereof, for the Preservation of Birds;
No. 2 of 1870, entitled-An Ordinance enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the Advice of the Legislative Council thereof, to enable the Governor to co-operate with the Chinese Authorities for the Suppression of Piracy;
No. 3 of 1870, entitled-An Ordinance enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the Advice of the Legislative Council thereof, for establishing a Chinese Hospital to be supported by Voluntary Contributions, and for erecting the same into an Eleemosynary Corporation:---
Now, therefore, it is hereby declared, that the said Ordinances have been so approved and mud, as aforesaid.
