Ordinance No. 10 of 1907, entitled--An Ordinance for giving to a Foreign Company called the Nederlandsche Handel-Maatschap- pij certain facilities for carrying on its business in the Colony.

APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 679.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Sergeant GUY BLOOD to be 2nd Lieutenant in No. 2 Company, Hongkong Volunteer Artillery, with effect from the 30th September, 1907.

9th October, 1907.

No. 680.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions received from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint CHARLES WILLIAM JEFFRIES to be First Assistant at the Observatory, with effect from this date.

9th October, 1967.

No. 681.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to recognise, provisionally and pending the receipt of His Majesty's Exequatur, Mr. ALBERTO MORENO PÉREZ as Consul for the Republic of Guatemala in Hongkong.

No. 682.-With reference to Government Notification No. 462 of the 6th July, 1907, it is hereby notified that telegraphic information has been received from H.B.M.'s Consul at Newchwang to the effect that the quarantine restrictions imposed upon arrivals from Hongkong have been removed.

No. 683.-With reference to Government Notification No. 537 of the 12th August, 1907, it is hereby notified that telegraphic information has been received from the Secretary to the Government of British North Borneo to the effect that the quarantine restrictions imposed upon arrivals from Hongkong have been removed.
