GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
Tenders for the supply of Provisions and other Articles required for the use of Victoria Gaol, from 21st November, 1871, to the 20th November, 1872, inclusive, will be received at this Office until Noon of the 15th November, 1871.
All information required, and Blank Forms of Tender may be obtained on application to the Superintendent of Victoria Gaol.
Tenders to be addressed to the Colonial Secretary, and endorsed "Tender for Gaol Contract,
1872."
No Tenders will be received unless the Person tendering shall produce a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $200 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if such person shall refuse to carry out his Tender.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest, or any
Tender.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
The Reverend RICHARD HAYWARD KIDD, late Rector of Saint Michael, Coslany, at Norwich, having been appointed by the Right Honorable the Secretary of State for the Colonies to be Colonial Chaplain of Hongkong, and having reported his arrival in the Colony, enters on the duties of his Office from this date.
