The following Notice to Mariners received from the Chief Commissioner, British Burmah, is published for general information:
NOTICE TO MARINERS.
The light on the Great Savage at the entrance to the Arracan river having been altered from a fixed to a revolving light, it was lighted for the first time at sun-set on the 15th of March 1871, and will be continued each night from sun-set to sun-rise; it revolves once a minute.
The light is of the 3rd order cato-dioptric, and will be visible at a radius of 13 miles scaward of the Great Savage Island.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
The following Bill, which will be laid on the Table of the Legislative Council for the first Reading after the expiration of one month from this date, is published for general information.
All Persons possessing Property which they consider may be affected by the Provisions of the oposed Ordinance, are invited to send in to the Colonial Secretary full Particulars in writing of such Property and of the Injury or Prejudice, if any, which they believe may accrue thereto from the
rection of the Public Pier authorized by the Bill.
A Plan of the intended Pier, inay be inspected at the Office of the Surveyor General.
