POST OFFICE NOTICE.
It is hereby notified that correspondence for the United Kingdom or for the Continent, sent in the Mails by French Packet, will be carried on to Marseilles, and that therefore all Letters, Books, Prices Current, Newspapers, Packets of Patterns, &c., which may be specially addressed viâ Alexan- dria, via Trieste, or via Brindisi, will not be forwarded by the French Packets, as only Letters, &c., intended to be transmitted by the Marseilles route can be sent in the Mails by the French line.

GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
Tenders will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office, until Noon of Tuesday, the 11th instant, for making up of
300 pairs Blucher Boots for the Members of the Police Force. 150 pairs of Boots to be delivered within two weeks' time from acceptance of Tender, and the remainder within four weeks from the same date.

CONDITIONS OF SALE.
1. The highest bidder above the upset price shall be the Purchaser, and if any dispute arise the Lot shall be put up again at a former bidding.
2. No person shall at any bidding advance less than $50.
3. Immediately after the fall of the hammer, the Purchaser shall sign the Memorandum Agreement hereinafter contained for completing the purchase according to these Conditions, and s within Three Days of the day of Sale pay into the Colonial Treasury a deposit of one half of th amount of Premium at which the Lot shall have been knocked down, and within one Calendar Monts from the day of Sale at the aforesaid Treasury pay the remaining half of the said Premium.
