GOVERNMENT NOTIFICATION.
His Excellency Major-General WHITFEILD, Cominanding Her Majesty's Troops in China and Japan, and Lieutenant-Governor of the Colony of Hongkong and its Dependencies, has been pleased to appoint ALFRED LISTER, Esquire, to perform the duties of Coroner from this date until further notice, vice FREDERICK STEWART, Esquire, resigned.
