OTICE is hereby given, that WILLIAM HENRY BRERETON of Victoria in the Island of Hongkong, whose place of abode for the past three years has been at Victoria afore- said, and who was lately under Articles of Clerk- ship to HENRY CHARLES CALDWELL of Victoria aforesaid Gentleman, one of the Attor- neys of Her Majesty's Supreme Court of Hong- kong, intends to apply on Saturday, the Fourth day of February next, to be admitted an Attor- ney, Solicitor and Proctor of the said Court.

HEREAS an Action has been commenced
in this Colony, at the suit of the above named Burjorjee Cowasjee, against the above named Somjeebhoy Visram, to recover the sum of One thousand and Ten Dollars, and Twenty- three cents, money due from the Defendant to the Plaintiff on a Promissory Note made or Bill drawn by the Defendant in favor of the Plaintiff and for Freight on certain goods carried by the Plaintiff at the request of the Defendant and for work done and services rendered by the Plaintiff to the Defendant at his request, and it being alleged that the said Somjeebhoy Visram does not reside within this Island or its dependencies, a writ of Foreign Attachment has been issued returnable on the Eighth day of February, One thousand Eight hundred and Seventy-one, wherein Jan Mahomed Somjee, of Hongkong, Merchant, Sorabjee Rustomjee, of Hongkong, Broker, and Hormusjee Bezonjee Dantra, of Hongkong, Medical Practitioner, are Garnishees.
Notice is hereby given thereof, and that if at any time before final judgment in this Action, the said Somjeebhoy Visram or any person on his
