No. 15 of 1870.—The following Notice received from the British Consul at Suez is published for general information and guidance:- NOTICE!
Pinnacle Rock at the entrance of Suez Roadstead.
́A pinnacle rock with only 13 feet water at L. W. Spring-tide has been discovered in the Fairway Channel at the entrance of Suez Roadstead :-

The Channel west of the danger commanding 24 feet water at L. W. is of a mile wide.
Ships passing through by day should keep the Light Vessel on with the westermost minaret of the town of Sucz; by night the Light. Ship should bear N. by E.
A small red buoy has been placed as a temporary mark on the danger.

Tenders will be received at this Office until noon on Monday, the 23rd instant, for the reconstruc- tion of, and repairs to, the Praya Wall.
Plans and Specification can be seen, and a proper form of Tender obtained, on application at the Surveyor General's Office. The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest, or any Tender. By Command,
