It is hereby notified that the Regulations hitherto in force regarding the erection of Verandahs over Crown Land are hereby rescinded.
Each application for building such Verandahs will be separately considered.

Tenders for the supply of Provisions and other Articles required for the use of Victoria Gaol, from 21st November, 1872, to the 20th November, 1873, inclusive, will be received at this Office until Noon of Friday the 15th November, 1872.
All information required, and Blank Forins of Tender may be obtained on application to the Superintendent of Victoria Gaol.
Tenders to be addressed to the Colonial Secretary, and endorsed "Tender for Gaol Contract,
1873."
No Tenders will be received unless the Person tendering shall produce a receipt to the effect that he has deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $200 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if such Person shall refuse to carry out his Tender.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest, or any Tender.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.
No. 15.
ENTRANCE TO THE YANG-TSZE RIVER, CHINA.
SHANGHAI DISTRICT.-BLOCKHOUSE SHOAL IRON-SCREW-PILE BEACON.
Notice is hereby given, that the Blockhouse Shoal Iron-screw-pile Beacon has disappeared.
A Red iron buoy, 6 feet in diameter, surmounted with a truncated pyramidal cage 12 feet above the sea, has been moored on the S.E. extremity of this shoal in 10 feet of water.
The following bearings, taken from the buoy, are magnetic :-
Kiutoan Lighthouse,
Kiutoan Small Beacon,
.S. 38° W. .N. 69° W.
