IN THE SUPREME COURT OF HONGKONG IN BANKRUPTCY.
NOTICE-LEE-AFON, of, letorin, in the
Colony of Hongkong, Cook, late Lessee of the Hongkong Hotel, having been adjudged Bankrupt under a l'etition for adjudication of Bankruptcy, filed in the Supreme Court of Hongkong in Bankruptcy, on the Seventeenth day of April, in the Year of Our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Seventy-two, is hereby required to surrender himself to William Hastings Alexander, Esquire, the Registrar of the said Court, at the first Meeting of his Cre- ditors, to be held before the said Registrar on the Fifteenth day of May, in the Year of Our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Seven- ty-two, at Eleven o'clock in the forenoon of that day precisely, at the said Court.
William Hastings Alexander, Esquire, is the Official Assignee in the Bankruptcy.
A Public Meeting will be appointed by the said Court for the said Bankrupt to pass his final examination, of which sitting notice will be given in the Hongkong Government Gazette.
At the first Meeting of Creditors, the Registrar will receive the proofs of the Debts of Creditors, and the Creditors may choose an Assignee or As- signees of the Bankrupt's Estate and Effects,
At the public Sitting, proofs of the Debts of Creditors will be received and the Bankrupt will be required to submit himself to be examined, and to make a full disclosure and discovery of all his Estate and Effects, and to finish his examination.
Notice is also hereby given to all persons indebted to the said Bankrupt, or that have auy of his Effects, not to deliver the same but to the Official Assignee.

HE undersigned, passengers per American ship "Congress," from Melbourne to this port, not having other means at their command
to adequately express their gratefulness and in- debtedness to Captain Purrington of that vessel for the very kind treatment they received from him during the voyage, beg through this public advertisement to do so, assuring him that his kindness and generosity, owing to which the passage was rendered so agreable and comfort- able, will always be gratefully remembered by them.
