NOTICE TO MARINERS.

CHANGE OF BUOYS, BAY OF DAIREN, MANCHURIA.

Notice is hereby given that, the three Buoys moored in the Bay of Dairen, which were announced in the Notification No. 330, May of this year, have been changed as follows :—

The Buoy moored at the end of the Easternmost jetty, has been changed into a conical, iron, black buoy, surmounted by a cylindrical topmark, and 10 feet high above the water.

Each of the two Buoys, one at the end of the shoal extending from the West- Basin; and the other on the South side of the shoal lying South-west of Hosan Tao, has been changed into a conical, iron, red buoy, surmounted by a triangular topmark, and 10 feet high above the water.

Approaches to Bombay Harbour.

POSITION OF THE UNATTENDED LIGHT VESSEL.

The Unattended Light Vessel exhibiting a white occulting light every 15 seconds thus:--10 seconds light, 4 seconds eclipse and visible in clear weather at a distance of 11 miles is now watching in a position South 20° West (True) of Prongs Light House, distant 3.43 miles.

ENTRANCE TO THE WHANGPOO RIVER.

ESTABLISHMENT OF WOOSUNG SPIT GAS-LIGHTED BUOY.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Woosung Spit unlighted Buoy has been replaced by a Gas-lighted Buoy surmounted by a conical superstructure painted red and black vertical stripes and showing an occulting red light every 8 seconds, thus:--

Light...... Eclipse

4 seconds.

The Buoy is moored in 10 feet of water at low water of spring tides, and from it the Woosung Light bears S. 67° 26' W., distant I mile.
