NOTICES TO MARINERS.

TRANSLATION..

Notification No. 1764 of Department of Communications.

Yokosuka Naval Port, Tokyo Bay.

NOTICE is hereby given that the report has been received from Naval Department in which following lighthouses were established at the both ends of N. E. Breakwater, and at the E. point of N. Breakwater, Naval Station, Yokosuka, and have been exhibited since the 15th October, 1920, and at the same time "Yokosuka Kogwai Bohatei Higashi Tobu Lighted Buoy" was withdrawn.

N. E. Breakwater E. Point Lighthouse.

Position:-Latitude N. 35° 19′ 16"; Longitude E. 139° 40′ 52" (according Japanese Admiralty Chart No. 1062).

Description:-Iron lattice work, white.

Height of light :-50 "shaku" above the base; 55 "shaku" above the water. Character of light :-5th order acetylene gas occulting white; light 3 secs., eclipse

3 secs.

Illuminated arc: The whole horizon.

Power:-1,300 candles.

Visibility:-13 nautical miles in clear night.

N. E. Breakwater W. Point Lighthouse.

Position --Latitude N. 35° 19′ 36′′; Longitude E. 139° 40′ 9′′ (according Japanese Admiralty Chart No. 1062).

Description-Iron lattice work, green.

Height of light :-35 "shaku" above the base; 40 “shaku" above the water. Character of light :-Acetylene gas occulting green; light 2 secs., eclipse 2 secs. Illuminated are:-' -The whole horizon.

Power:-40 candles.

Visibility:-7 nautical miles in clear night.

N. Breakwater E. Point Lighthouse.

Position: Latitude N. 35° 19' 28"; Longitude E. 139° 40′ 5′′ (according Japanese Admiralty Chart No. 1062).

Description-Iron lattice work, red.

Height of light:-35 "shaku" above the base; 40 "shaku" above the water. Character of light :-Acetylene gas oculting red"; light 2 secs., eclipse 2 secs. Illuminated arc :-The whole horizon.

Power:-60 candles.

Visibility:-8 nautical milgs in clear night.

N.B. These 3 lights being unwatched, should the lights go out by accidents, there may be some

delay in re-lighting them.
