Same as for Books, except thur the lowest charge is 10 cents.

(4) The prepaid postage carries letters and post cards to destination, but other articles only as far as the Abyssinian frontier. The delivery of registered articles for Abyssinia can be effected only at the Poste Restante at Jibouti they must be addressed "Poste Restante, Jibouti".

(4) Correspondence should hear the sender's name on the cover to avoid detention by the Ameer's agent at Peshawur. Hongkong postage stamps are valid for the payment on correspondence for Afghanistan as far as the Indian Frontier only; for the transit thence to destination additional postage is payable to the Afghan authorities.

(e) Prepayment of postage is compulsory.

(d) The foreign Post Offices in China are included in the Postal Union. (in) Registration is incomplete, not extending beyond Port of Arrival.

The unit of weight for Letters from the British Offices at Shanghai, Amoy, Canton, Chefoo, Foo Hankow, Hoihow, Ningpo and Swatow is 20 gra instead of 1 oz.

The unit of weight from Liukungtau is the as that from Hongkong, namely, 1 oz.
