the Winding-up of the above-named Com- pany by the Supreme Court subject to the Super- vision of the Court of Hongkong was on the Fif- teenth day of March in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy-piled for the purpose of aiding students in HE above work, which has been chiefly com- five presented to the Honorable Sir John Smale, Knight, Chief-Justice of the Supreme Court of Hongkong by the said Company. And that the said Petition is directed to be heard before the Honorable Sir John Smale, Knight, on Wednes day, the Thirty-first day of March, One Thou- sand Eight Hundred and Seventy-five, at 11 o'clock A.M., (instead of 29th inst., as previously advertised). And any Creditor or Contributory of the said Company desirous to oppose the making of an Order for the Winding-up of the said Com- pany under the above Ordinance should appear at the time of hearing by himself or his Counsel for that purpose; and a Copy of the Petition will be furnished to any Creditor or Contributory of the said Company requiring the same by the Undersigned on Payment of the usual Charge for the same.

The selection of between 8,000 and 9,000 cha- racters will make it comparatively easy to find a character without counting the strokes of the compound figures, (minus the radical), and the addition of the Synonyms will prove a great help to such as are anxious to acquaint themselves more minutely with the character of the lan- guage.
