TOTICE.-CHEW SUT CHE, of Victoria, in the Colony of Hongkong, Accountant, hav- ing been adjudged a Bankrupt under a Petition for adjudication of Bankruptcy, filed in the Su- preme Court of Hongkong on the Nineteenth day of February, in the Year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Seventy-five, a public sitting for the said Bankrupt to pass his last examination, and make application for his order of discharge will be held before the Honora- ble Sir John Smale, Knight, Chief Justice of the said Court, at the Supreme Court House, Victoria aforesaid, on the Sixteenth day of March, 1875, at Eleven of the clock in the forenoon precisely.

The Registrar of the Supreme Court is the Official Assignee in the Bankruptcy.

OTICE is hereby given that a Meeting of the Creditors of the said Pestonjee Aspundiar- jee Metta, late of Victoria, Merchant, will be held pursuant to the 151st Section of the Bankruptcy Ordinance in the Supreme Court House, on Sa- turday, the 20th day of March, 1875, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon before the Honorable William Hastings Alexander, Registrar of the Supreme Court, the Officer appointed by the Court sitting in Bankruptcy.

Proofs of Debts will be received, and Creditors will be excluded from the benefit of any Dividend who have not proved, or who shall not then prove, that may be declared, and all Claims not proved

will be disallowed.

Justice of the said Court, on Thursday, the Ele- venth day of March next, at Eleven o'clock in the forenoon precisely, for the purpose of consi- dering the question of granting the said Bankrupt an order of discharge for which application will then be made.

THE above work, which

piled for the purpose of aiding students in the study of Chinese literature, comprises many characters not met with in any of the Dictionaries hitherto published.

The selection of between 8,000 and 9,000 cha- racters will make it comparatively easy to find a character without counting the strokes of the compound figures, (minus the radical), and the addition of the Synonyms will prove a great help to such as are anxious to acquaint themselves more minutely with the character of the lan- guage.

The work contains 584 Imperial Octavo Pages and is neatly bound in cloth.
