Les heures sont données en temps moyen astronomique.
Les hauteurs sont exprimées en décimètres et comptées à partir d'un niveau situé à 2 mètres audessous du niveau moyen. Le niveau adopté est à peu près celni auquel out été rapportées les sondes des cartes.
Les marées de Do-son sont en avance d'environ une heure sur celles d'Haï-phong; les hanteurs sont les mêmes.

EXHIBITION OF REVOLVING WHITE LIGHT ON CAPE FOULWIND, WEST COAST OF MIDDLE ISLAND.
PRELIMINARY NOTICE,
CUSTOMS DEPARTMENT (MARINE BRANCH), WELLINGTON, N.Z., 10th May, 1876.
Notice is hereby given, that about the month of August next a Light will be exhibited from a Lighthouse which has been erected on Cape Foulwind, the position and characteristics of which are as follows:--
