Character:-Fixed red.

Illuminated are:---An arc 45°, from S. 67° W. through W. to N. 68° W. (magnetic bearings taken from seaward).

Power 100 candles.

Visibility:-10 nautical miles in clear night.

The Low Light.

Position:-Eastward of the high light. Lat. 38° 19' 20" N.

Long. 141° 1′ 45′′ E.

(the degree being added 0° 0′ 11′′ E. to that of the Japanese Admiralty Chart No. 64).

Description, Character and Illuminated are:--All the same to those of the high light. Height: 414 shaku above the sea level; 40 shaku above the base.

Power:-100 candles.

Visibility: 10 nautical miles in clear night.

Remarks:-----Vessels entering inner port of Shiogama harbour should navigate keep- ing both lights a straight line.

The lights being unwatched, should the lights go out by accident there may be some delay in relighting them.

Jizo-jima Lighthouse.

Position:-On Jizo-jima, Shiogamako, Matsushima wan. Lat. 38° 19' 22" N. Long. 141° 4' 35" E. (the degree being added 0° 0' 11" E. to that of the Japanese Admiralty Chart No. 64).

Description--Octagonal stone tower, white.

Height:-67 shaku above the sea level; 35 shaku above the base.

Character:-Acetylene gas flashing red light, showing one flash every 3 seconds. Illuminated are :—' -The whole horizon.

Power--60 candles.

Visibility:-8 nautical miles in clear night.

The light being unwatched, should the light go out by accident there may be some- delay in relighting it.

NOTICE is hereby given that the illuminated are of the light of Sunosaki lighthouse,. on Sunosaki, Province of Awa, has been changed as follows :-

Sunosaki lighthouse.

Illuminated arc-An are 250° 40′, from N. 7° E., through E. and S., to S. 77° 40′ W. (magnetic bearings taken from seaward).

W. Coast of Hokkaido.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following report has been received from Hokkaido government in regard to Ishikarigawaguchi leading lights, E. bank of the mouth of the river Ishikari, Province of Ishikari.

For the alteration of fairway of the river, the position of the low light of Ishikari- gawaguchi leading lights was changed as follows on the 1st of April, 1920:

The position of the Low light.--Lat. 43° 15′ 53′′ N., Long. 141° 22′ 21′′ E. (the degree being added 0° 0' 11" E. to that of the Japanese Admiralty Chart No. 28).

NOTE. The High light bears S. 25° E. from the low light and Distant about 1 cable.........
