NOTICES TO MARINERS.

Saigon.

THE following information has been received from the British Consul at Saigon :-

Translation.

I.

The buoy marking the wreck of the Cambodge at the entrance to Cuatieu (estuary of the St. James) which disappeared in January, has been replaced by another buoy, moored 800 metres S. 36° W. from the wreck.

Particulars.

The buoy is sphero-conical; metal: Green.

Height above water 33 metres.

Depth of water 2.24 metres at L.W.O.S.

Position.

14'8 S. 63° W. from C. St. James Light.

9'6 S. 8° W. from Dong Tranh. Light. 4' S. 66° E. from Cuatieu Light.

Approximately in Lat. 10° 13′ 10′′ N. Lɔng. 106° 51′ 5′′.

The buoy was laid on 29th April, 1920.

II.

The buoy marking the wreck of the Norodom has been lifted and replaced by another bell buoy of the same type. (See French Chart No. 5430, 1915 Edition.)

The buoy is metal, with bell and surmounted by a diamond. It is painted black and white horizontal stripes.

Height above water 2.5 metres.

Depth of water 3.25 metres.

Position.

Cuatien Light 77° 57' Dong Tranh Light 71° 55' C. St. James Light.

Approximately in Lat. 10° 14' 31" N. Long. 106° 53′ 49′′ E.

The buoy was laid on 29th April, 1920.

III.

The buoy named Francis Garnier" in the mouth of the Cuatieu (estuary of the St. James) has been lifted and replaced by another sphere conical buoy surmounted by a

..cone.

The buoy is Red; metallic.

Height above water 4·1 metres. Depth of water

2.6 metres at L.W.O.S.
