A red Light occulting every 3 seconds, thus :---

0.3 second, 2.7 seconds,

has been established close off the eastern end of the Mole (under con- struction). This Light is exhibited 18 feet above high water from a red openwork iron structure surmounting a pile and marks the western side of the northern entrance to the Inner Harbour (under construction).

NOTICE is hereby given that the character, power and visibility of Nakano-se Beacon Light on Nakano-se, S. of Onasami-shima, Hiroshima Bay, have been changed as follows' since the 17th of March :-

Nakano-se Beacon Light.

Character of light :--Acetylene gas flashing white light, showing one flash in every 4 seconds.

Power: 120 candles.

Visible distance:-10 nautical miles in clear night.

S. Coast of Hokkaido.

NOTICE is hereby given that the newly established lighthouse, on Chikiu-misaki, outside of Mororan Harbour, (see notification No. 1450 of Department of Communications, September, 1919), will be shown as follows since the 1st of April, 1920 :--

Chikiu-misaki Lighthouse.

Position-Lat. 42° 18' 7" N. Long. 140° 59' 46" F. (according to the Japanese Admiralty Chart No. 14).

Description :-Octagonal concrete tower, white.

Height of light :-40 shaku above the base and 321 shaku above the water.

Character of light:-Third order group flashing white, showing a double flash in

quick succession during 8 seconds followed by an eclipse of 22 seconds.

Illuminated arc-An arc 227° 10′, from S. 58° 25' W., through W., N. & E., to S. 74° 25' E. (magnetic bearings taken from the sea).

Power: 90,000 candles.

Visible distance :-25 nautical miles in clear night.
